Checking the Accuracy of Journal Entries Before You Post
When you enter transactions, they become part of a batch. These transactions are not recorded in the affected accounts until you post the batch. Once you post a batch, the recorded transactions cannot be changed or deleted. If you enter a transaction incorrectly, the only way to correct the transaction is to enter an adjustment transaction.
To ensure your entries are accurate before you post, you can print an edit report. This report assists you in verifying your entries are correct and allows you the opportunity to correct or delete entries before you post.
