Budget Grid Menu Options
 
Select Filter Range window
Within the budget grid, there are different menus available that allow you to change the data that is in view or the order in which the data appears.
Account Summary
The following options are available when you right-click on the Account Summary column heading.
Clear All Data
Select this option to clear all data in the grid.
Refresh All Data
Select this option to refresh all data in the grid.
Allocate Across All Years
Select this option if you want to allocate your budget evenly across the periods in each year. Only rows with the Annual check box selected will have the budget amount allocated.
Hide/Show: Years/Periods
From the submenu, select the years/periods you want to hide or show. A check box appears next to the years/periods that show in the grid.
Hide/Show: Columns
From the submenu, you can select Account Summary or All Periods/Years. If you select Account Summary, you can hide or show the account number, description, annual, and rollover (Fund product only) columns. If you select All Periods/Years, you can show budge, actual, or both. A check box appears next to the periods/years that show in the grid.
Delete Filtered Group
Select this option to remove all visible items from the grid.
Annual Year <#>/Period <#>
The following options are available when you right-click on the Annual Year <#> or Period <#> column headings.
Clear Values
Select this option to delete all values in the grid.
Refresh Data
Select this option to refresh all data in the grid.
Transfer All Previous Year Actuals to Budgets
This option is only available when you right-click on Annual Years 2-5. This takes the prior year’s Actual plus Encumbered amount and moves it to the Budget column. It will overwrite any value that is in the Budget column.
Allocate Across Periods
This option is only available on Annual Year columns. Select this option if you want to allocate your budget evenly across the periods in each year.
Pinned State
From the submenu, select to pin or unpin a group. You can pin the column group to the left or the right. If you pin columns, all other columns will scroll to the left or right of the pinned group.
Hide/Show
From the submenu, select the columns you want to hide or show in the grid.
Secondary Column Headings
The following options are available when you right-click on a secondary column heading, such as Account Number or Annual.
Sort Ascending/Descending
Select one of these options to sort the column in ascending or descending order.
Clear Sort
Select this option to clear any sorting and return the data to its original order.
Group by this Column
Select this option to group the grid data by the selected column. This has the same result as when you drag a column to the grouping bar.
Hide Column
Select this option to hide the selected column.
Best Fit
Select this option to adjust the column widths to the best possible fit within the grid.
Account Number cells
The following options are available when you right-click in an Account Number cell.
Clear Values
Select this option to clear all data for the selected row(s).
Delete Row
Select this option to delete the selected row(s). You can select multiple rows using the CTRL key and delete them all at once.
Refresh Data
Select this option to refresh data for all editable cells in the selected row(s).
Allocate Annual Amounts to Periods
This option is available if the selected row has the Annual check box checked. Select this option to allocate your budget amounts evenly across all periods in each year.
Budget Value Cells
The following options are available when you right-click in any cell that contains a budget value, such as Annual.
Copy
Select this option to copy the data from the selected cell.
Paste
Select this option to paste the copied data into the selected cell.
Clear Value
Select this option to clear the data from all cells in the selected row.
Delete Row
Select this option to delete the selected row. You can select multiple rows using the CTRL key and delete them all at once.
Allocate Amounts to Periods
This option is only available on the Budget column for rows that have the Annual check box selected. Select this option to allocate this budget amount evenly across the periods in that year.
Disabled Cells
The following options are available when you right-click in any cell that is grayed-out and contains a value.
Copy
Select this option to copy the data from the selected cell.
Copy to Budget
Select this option to copy the value from the selected cell to the Budget column for the same account and year/period.
Delete Row
Select this option to delete the selected row. You can select multiple rows using the CTRL key and delete them all at once.
Filter Icon (Value Cells)
The following options are available when you click the funnel-shaped filter icon in columns that have dollar amount data, such as Budget.
No filter
Select this option if you do not want to apply any filter to the grid data.
Equals
Select this option to filter the grid by a specific number. Click the field to the left of the filter icon and enter the number that you want the sort to equal. For example, if you enter 550, only values that equal 550 show in the grid.
Not equal to
Select this option to show everything in the grid except a specific number. Click the field to the left of the filter icon and enter the number that you don’t want to show in the grid. For example, if you enter 550, all values except 550 will show in the grid.
Greater than
Select this option to show everything in the grid greater than a specific number. Click the field to the left of the filter icon and enter the number that you want all numbers in the grid to be greater than. For example, if you enter 550, all values 551 and greater will show in the grid.
Less than
Select this option to show everything in the grid less than a specific number. Click the field to the left of the filter icon and enter the number that you want all numbers in the grid to be less than. For example, if you enter 550, all values 549 and less will show in the grid.
Greater than or equal to
Select this option to show everything in the grid greater than or equal to a specific number. Click the field to the left of the filter icon and enter the number that you want all numbers in the grid to be greater than or equal to. For example, if you enter 550, all values 550 and greater will show in the grid.
Less than or equal to
Select this option to show everything in the grid less than or equal to a specific number. Click the field to the left of the filter icon and enter the number that you want all numbers in the grid to be less than or equal to. For example, if you enter 550, all values 550 and less will show in the grid.
Between
Select this option to open the Select Filter Range window. In that window, you can set a filter to only show data between two values.
Not between
Select this option to open the Select Filter Range window. In that window, you can set a filter to only show data that falls outside of two values.
Custom
Select this option to open the Select Filter Range window. In that window, you can set a custom filter.
Filter Icon (Text Cells)
The following options are available when you click the funnel-shaped filter icon in columns that have text entries, such as Description or Account Number.
No filter
Select this option if you do not want to apply any filter to the grid data.
Contains
Select this filter option to show any data that contains the sequence you enter. Click the field next to the filter icon and enter an alphanumeric sequence that you want to show in the grid. For example, if you enter 1003 in the Account Number filter, all account numbers that contain 1003 will show in the grid.
Does not contain
Select this filter option to show any data that does not contain the sequence you enter. Click the field next to the filter icon and enter an alphanumeric sequence that you don’t want to show in the grid. For example, if you enter 1003 in the Account Number filter, all account numbers that do not contain 1003 will show in the grid.
Starts with
Select this filter option to show any data that starts with the sequence you enter. Click the field next to the filter icon and enter an alphanumeric sequence that you want all data in the grid to start with. For example, if you enter 1003 in the Account Number filter, all account numbers that start with 1003 will show in the grid.
Ends with
Select this filter option to show any data that ends with the sequence you enter. Click the field next to the filter icon and enter an alphanumeric sequence that you want all data in the grid to end with. For example, if you enter 1003 in the Account Number filter, all account numbers that end with 1003 will show in the grid.
Equals
Select this filter option to show any data that equals the sequence you enter. Click the field next to the filter icon and enter an alphanumeric sequence that you want all data in the grid to exactly match. For example, if you enter 1003 in the Account Number filter, all 1003 account numbers will show in the grid.
Not equal to
Select this filter option to show any data that does not equal the sequence you enter. Click the field next to the filter icon and enter an alphanumeric sequence that you don’t want to show in the grid. For example, if you enter 1003 in the Account Number filter, no 1003 account numbers will show in the grid.
Custom
Select this option to open the Select Filter Range window. In that window, you can set a custom filter.
Filter Icon (Check Boxes)
The following options are available when you click the funnel-shaped filter icon in columns that have check boxes.
No filter
Select this option if you do not want to apply any filter to the grid data.
Equals
Select this option to show only rows that are checked.
First Column
The following options are available when you right-click in a cell in the first grid column.
Delete Row
Select this option to delete the selected row. You can select multiple rows using the CTRL key and delete them all at once.
Pinned State
From the submenu, select to pin or unpin a row. You can pin the row to the top or the bottom. If you pin rows, all other rows will scroll below or above the pinned row.
