GL Renumber Accounts window
Under certain circumstances, you might want to change a General Ledger account number. For example, you might receive new regulations for your accounts, or you discover you misnumbered an account. The Renumber GL Accounts option allows you to change a General Ledger account number and update all transactions (posted or unposted) throughout the system with that number.
(Fund product only) When you renumber accounts, the fund segments in the old and new accounts must be the same.
When you renumber accounts, any references to those accounts in other modules are also renumbered.
Old Account
Enter the number of the account you want to change. The system will no longer use this number.
Description / Account Class
Once you enter an account in the Old Account box, the description and class associated with the account appears. Use these labels to verify you are renumbering the correct account.
New Account
Enter the new number for the account. This replaces the old account number.
