Sales Price Level Codes window
This feature is only available if you have Accounts Receivable installed and Sales is integrated to it.
At the time of the sale, the system identifies the Accounts Receivable customer and each Inventory item invoiced, and activates the Price Level Code specified for this particular customer and item. The Price Level Code determines which of five price levels established in the IN Stock window to charge.
NOTE: Price Level Codes work only with Inventory items that use a Level type Pricing Code. The Pricing Type in the IN Stock window for the item must be Level List, Level Margin, or Level Markup.
Price Level Code
Enter the Price Level Code of up to 12 characters, such as STUDNTREFER. The first six characters represent the entry in the selected customer’s AR Customers window Type field and the last six characters represent the Inventory Code of the stock item being sold. This code will appear in the Lookup when you are looking for a Price Level Code.
Description
Enter a description of up to 50 characters, such as Student customer, reference book. This description will also appear in the Lookup which can help you find the code you’re looking for.
Price Level
Select the Price Level (1-5) in Inventory that you want to associate with this Price Level Code.
The system now automatically charges the right price for each customer and inventory item by combining the Customer Type and the Inventory Code, and comparing this value to the Price Level Codes.
If there is no Price Level Code matching the combination of the Customer Type and Inventory Code for a transaction, then the system will automatically charge the price that is in the Level 1 (top) position in the IN Stock window. So we recommend that you always make the price in the Level 1 position the price you would charge a customer who would not receive a discount.
