Select this check box to allow the salesperson to sell gift cards and add amounts to existing gift cards. This is only applicable if you haven’t restricted your gift cards to fixed amounts in the Sales Gift Card Options window.

When a gift card is used as tender for a transaction, the remaining amount owed on the transaction will be the default for the amount being paid from the gift card. If you select this check box, the clerk will be able to edit the amount being redeemed from the gift card. This is helpful if the customer wants to pay part of the total with the gift card and part by another method, and pays with the gift card first.

Select this check box if you want to allow this salesperson to adjust the value of a gift card.

This check box is only available if the Use Only Fixed Value Cards (Increment and Balance Transfer will be disabled) check box in the Sales Gift Card Options window is unchecked. If this check box is available, selecting it will allow the salesperson to transfer the balance from one gift card to another. This can be helpful if a customer has received multiple gift card and wants to consolidate them into one.
