AP Vendors window: Aging tab
This tab is read-only and displays information on the aging of your open invoices for the selected vendor. You can change the way you view the aging information using the option buttons at the top of the tab. You can also view detailed information about an individual transaction by selecting the transaction in the grid and clicking the View Detail button at the bottom of the window.
Age by Trans Date 
Select this option to show the outstanding transactions aged by their transaction date. This means the system date will be compared against the transaction date to determine what items are current or which period they are in.
Age by Due Date 
Select this option to show the outstanding transactions aged by their due date. This means the system date will be compared against the item due date to determine what items are current or which period they are in.
Forecast by Due Date 
Select this option to show all your outstanding items with this vendor as if they were all due now.
None 
Select this option to turn off the aging function of the tab.
Aging Grid
Refer to the grid for details about the outstanding items.
Type 
This field indicates the type of transaction, which was indicated at the time this transaction was entered.
Reference # 
This field displays the reference number you assigned to this transaction.
Tran Date 
This field displays the date of the transaction.
Due Date 
This field displays the date the invoice is due.
Orig Amount 
This field displays the original amount of the invoice before any discounts.
Discount 
This field displays the discount amount available.
Rem Amount 
This field displays the balance remaining for this transaction.
View Detail 
You can use this button to see detailed information about the selected transaction. Select a transaction in the grid and then click the View Detail button to pull up information such as individual line types, stock numbers, expense accounts, and quantities.
Current / Period 1 / Period 2 / Period 3 / Period 4 
These fields are for reference only. They show what is due for this vendor by time period. The totals in these fields change depending on which option button you selected at the top of this tab. You can set the time periods in the AP Codes window.
