The check boxes available depend on the modules you have installed. Select the check boxes that correspond to the modules you want to include on the report. The default for these check boxes is checked.
Orders
Select this check box to include orders entered in the Sales Order Entry window.
Register Sales
Select this check box to include sales entered in the Sales POS Register window.
Job Cost
This option is available if you select Posted from the Transaction Type drop-down. Select this check box to include transactions entered in the Sales Order Entry window from Job Cost.
Report
Select whether you want to include all sales, or only paid sales, on the report.
Sales by Salesperson (default): select this option to include all sales that meet the remaining criteria in the window.
Paid Sales by Salesperson: select this option to include only those sales that have been paid by the customer, and meet the remaining criteria in the window. This report is particularly useful when calculating bonuses or commissions for salespeople based only on sales that have already been paid for by the customer.
Transaction Type
Select either Posted or Unposted.
Posted (default): this option will include only posted transactions in the report.
Unposted: this option will include only current, unposted transactions in the report.
Report Type
Select the level of detail to include in the report, Detailed, Condensed, or Summary:
Detailed (default): the Detailed report shows the salesperson, invoice number, customer number, register/batch, items sold, description, date, quantity, unit price, and extended price for each transaction.
Condensed: the Condensed report is similar to the Detailed report, but does not include the line item information about what was sold with each transaction.
Summary: the Summary report shows only subtotals for each salesperson, with no individual transaction information.
Subtotal Items/Jobs
This option is only available if you select either Detailed or Condensed in the Subtotals drop-down list. Select this check box if you want the report to include subtotals for each stock item. This option will also subtotal non-inventory and special order items. The default for this check box is unchecked.
Include Non-Inventory Items
Select this check box if you want to include non-inventory items on the report. If you leave this check box unchecked, only inventory items will be included. The default for this check box is unchecked.
Include Special Order Sales
Select this check box if you want to include special order items on the report. If you leave this check box unchecked, only items that have inventory records will be included. The default for this check box is unchecked.
Start and End Ranges: Sales Register, Salesperson, Invoice/Receipt Date, Item, and Non-Inventory
Specify the range of transactions to include by entering the starting and ending values in these boxes. To generate for a single variable, enter the same information in both the Start and End boxes. To include all transactions in the report that meet the remaining criteria in the window, leave the default values in the boxes.
The default for the Date Start box is the first date of the fiscal calendar, and the default for the Date End box is the current system date. The defaults for all the other boxes are Start and End.
NOTE: If you selected Paid Sales by Salesperson in the Report drop-down list, the Invoice/Receipt Date Start and Invoice/Receipt Date End boxes will instead read Paid Date, and the Item boxes will instead read Customer Number.
Date Range
From the drop-down, select a predefined period to run the report for.
Use a custom report
This check box is only available if you defined a custom report for this window in Controller. Select this check box if you want to run a custom report instead of the default report. The drop-down is enabled after you select the check box and you can choose the custom report you want to run.
