AR Module Preferences window: Integration tab
Integration is the way Accounts Receivable shares information with other modules. Use the options on this tab to define the
integration relationship of Accounts Receivable to other modules.
General Ledger
Select one of the following options to integrate Accounts Receivable to General Ledger. Once integrated, Accounts Receivable sends information to General Ledger when you post.
• Integration OFF: select this option if you don’t want Accounts Receivable to share information with General Ledger. You will not have access to account lookups and transaction information will not post to General Ledger.
• Integrated - Detail: select this option if you want Accounts Receivable to share detailed information with General Ledger. Transactions will post individually to General Ledger and you will have access to account lookups.
• Integrated - Condensed: select this option if you want Accounts Receivable to share detailed information with General Ledger. Income Statement accounts receive detailed posting. Balance Sheet accounts receive summary posting. You will have access to Lookups.
• Integrated - Summary: select this option if you want Accounts Receivable to share summary information with General Ledger. Transactions will post as one entry to each affected General Ledger account. You will have access to account lookups.
• Report Only - Detail: select this option if you don’t want Accounts Receivable to share information with General Ledger. You can view a detailed report that shows what would have posted to General Ledger. You will not have access to account lookups.
• Report Only - Summary: select this option if you don’t want Accounts Receivable to share information with General Ledger. You can view a summary report that shows what would have posted to General Ledger. You will not have access to account lookups.
NOTE: The General Ledger drop-down for integration cannot be set to Report Only if you selected to use the interface table on the System Settings tab of the CMS Organization Information window in the Controller module. |
BR Integration
Select one of the following BR Integration options to choose whether and how to share information from Accounts Receivable to Bank Reconciliation. Once integrated, Accounts Receivable sends information to Bank Reconciliation at posting.
Integrating using summary will more closely match the bank statements you receive from your bank.
• Integration Off: select this option if you don’t want Accounts Receivable to share information with Bank Reconciliation. You will not have Bank Code Lookups available and transaction information will not post to Bank Reconciliation.
• Summary: select this option if you want Accounts Receivable to share summary information with Bank Reconciliation. All deposit transactions are processed as one consolidated deposit transaction in Bank Reconciliation and you will have access to Bank Code Lookups.
• Detail: select this option if you want Accounts Receivable to share detailed information with Bank Reconciliation. Each deposit transaction entered in Accounts Receivable is listed individually in Bank Reconciliation and you will have access to Bank Code Lookups.
Fix <Module> Integration
This button appears when you reopen Module Preferences after you view an integration error report. Click this button to verify that the error is corrected and integration works or to view the error report again.
Default Bank Account
This field is only available if you select
Summary or
Detail as your Bank Reconciliation integration setting. Enter the default
Bank Account Code to display in the
AR Enter Payments/Adjustments window for payment-type transactions or select a code from the Lookup. You can edit this code when you enter transactions.
EFT Settings
Select this button to open the
AR Electronic Funds Transfer Settings window and define the EFT settings.
