BR Enter Bank Activity window: Enter Activity tab
Use this tab to enter basic information about the current bank activity. If you use the Lookup to select a payee in this window, any information saved in the
BR Payee Card File window will automatically populate the appropriate address fields.
Date
Enter the date or use the drop-down to select the date on which activity is being entered. The date must be within the Fiscal Calendar. The field defaults to the current system date. For more information on dates in Denali, see

Check # / Deposit # / Deduction # / Addition # / Bank Charge # / Transfer #
The field label changes depending on the activity type you choose. Enter the number for this activity or double-click to open the Lookup. After you enter a number and save the transaction, the number will increment.
If you enter a check transaction and you want to assign the check number when you print the check, leave this field blank.
Payee
This field only appears if you selected Check as the activity type; it is required. Enter the payee or double-click to use the Lookup to select the payee that will receive the check. When you type in a payee, the information is saved for this transaction only.
Description
Enter a meaningful description of the current activity.
Address 1
This field only appears if you selected Check as the activity type. Enter the first line of the payee’s address.
Address 2
This field only appears if you selected Check as the activity type. Enter the second line of the payee’s address.
City
This field only appears if you selected Check as the activity type. Enter the city of the payee’s address.
State/Prov
This field only appears if you selected Check as the activity type. Enter the state of the payee’s address.
Zip/Postal
This field only appears if you selected Check as the activity type. Enter the ZIP Code of the payee’s address.
Country
This drop-down only appears if you selected Check as the activity type. Select the country of the payee’s address.
Memo
This field only appears if you selected Transfer as the activity type. Enter any memo information for the invoice or document related to the transfer.
Amount
This field is required and only appears if you selected Transfer as the activity type. Enter the amount of the invoice or document. You can enter a negative amount.
GL Account (Fund product only)
This field is only available if you select Transfer from the Activity Type drop-down in this window. Enter a general ledger account or use the Lookup to select an account. The fund number in this field determines the fund number that will be used for the transfer from and transfer to general ledger accounts. The account numbers used in the transfer are based on the Bank <Account Type> Account you selected in the BR Bank Account window.
If you select the Fund to fund transfer check box in this window, the fund numbers are defined in the Transfer from fund and Transfer to fund fields.
The box that appears below this field is informational only and shows the description for the account you select.
Fund to fund transfer (Fund product only)
This check box only appears if the
Generate auto due to/due from entries check box is unchecked in
Module Preferences and you select
Transfer from the
Activity Type drop-down in this window. Select this check box if you want to make a transfer from one fund to another.
Transfer from fund (Fund product only)
This field is only available if you select the Fund to fund transfer check box. Enter a fund or use the Lookup to select a fund from which you want to transfer money. The fund you enter here overrides the fund associated with the account you select in the GL Account field in this window.
Transfer to fund (Fund product only)
This field is only available if you select the Fund to fund transfer check box. Enter a fund or use the Lookup to select a fund to which you want to transfer money. The fund you enter here overrides the fund associated with the account you select in the GL Account field in this window.
Enter Activity Grid
Enter activity information into the appropriate columns of the grid. This grid appears for all Activity Types except for Transfer.
Invoice / Document #
Enter the invoice or document number to which this activity is related.
Memo
Enter any memo information related to the selected line item.
GL Account
This field is required. Enter the general ledger account to which this activity is related. If Bank Reconciliation is integrated to General Ledger and you double-click in this field, you can select the account from the Lookup. The default is the account that is entered on the Accounts tab of the BR Bank Account window for the activity type you selected (except for the Check type, which has no default).
Amount
This is a required field. Enter the amount of the activity. You can enter negative values in this field, but to save the transaction, the net amount must be greater than zero.
Cash
This check box only appears if you selected Deposit as the activity type. Select this box if this activity line is for cash. The Cash field helps you separate cash from other types of deposits on your deposit slip.
Clear Grid
If the detail grid contains information, this button will be available. Select this button if you want to clear the grid. The grid and this button appears for all activity types except Transfer.
Tran # / Line #
This is a read-only field that displays the current transaction number and the current grid line number selected.
Net Amount
This is a read-only field that displays the net amount for the Amount column on the grid. This amount must be greater than zero to save the transaction.The grid and this field appear for all activity types except Transfer.
