CMS Add/Change Users window: Rights (Users) tab
Use the
Rights tab to specify access rights for the selected user. To learn more about user rights, see
User and Security Options.
Click the plus sign to expand the menu tree to see the options available.
The check boxes on this tab indicate whether the user has access to the option or function. If the check box is selected, then the user has access to that option or function. To quickly select all check boxes for a group, select the check box next to the group name—all check boxes listed under that group will be automatically selected. If you are modifying an existing user’s rights, you need to select the Edit button before you can change these settings.
NOTE: If a user is completely restricted from accessing a module, it could affect task functions in other modules. For example, if a user does not have access to the General Ledger module and they attempt to create a Terms Code in Accounts Receivable, the Code will not save because permission to view General Ledger accounts is required to save a Terms Code. |

Use this button to open the
CMS Copy Rights From (User) window. Even if the rights of different users aren’t identical, you can get a great head start by copying rights from a user whose rights are similar. Then just change the rights that are different.
