GL Accounts window: Period Totals tab
The Period Totals tab shows the total balance for the selected account at the end of each period.
Number
The Number box displays the selected account number.
Description
The Description box displays the description of the selected account.
Detail Grid
The detail grid displays the period totals for the selected account.
End Date
The End Date column shows the final or ending date of the Period (usually the end of the month).
Bal Fwd
When you first create an organization, before you post any transactions or select the
Balance forward entries completed check box in Module Preferences, you can enter
forwarding balances for your accounts.
Bal Fwd will appear in the
Bal Fwd column to identify this entry.
Balance
The Balance column shows the balance in the account for the period. If the period is over, the balance is as of the end date. If you are viewing the current period, the balance is as of the current date.
CR
If this column displays CR, the detail is a credit. If it is blank, it indicates the detail is a debit.
Running Total (Accounting product only)
This column shows the running total for the account across all periods.
CR (Accounting product only)
If this column displays CR, the total is a credit. If it is blank, the total is a debit.
Encumbered (Fund product only)
This column displays the encumbered balance for the corresponding period.
CR (Fund product only)
If this column displays CR, the encumbered amount is a credit. If it is blank, it indicates the amount is a debit.
