IN Copy Stock Items window
This option allows you to copy all or part of an established set of inventory records from one company to another. You must have at least two companies established to use this feature.
Destination Company
This is the company to which you want to copy stock items. The destination company must have the Inventory module installed for it to appear in the drop-down list. If you copy items from a company with MLI installed, only companies that also have MLI installed appear in this list.
Source Location
This is available only if you have
Multi-Location Inventory installed. This is the location from which you want to copy stock items.
Destination Location
This is available only if you have
Multi-Location Inventory installed. This is the location to which you want to copy stock items.
Start and End Ranges: Stock Item, IN Code, Product Type, and Vendor
These boxes allow you to define the range of items to copy. You can include a single item when you enter the same value in both boxes. The defaults for the Start and End boxes are Start and End. These settings include all items that meet the remaining criteria in the window.
Copy Attached Files
Select this check box to also copy files attached to the stock item(s).
Copy Extended Descriptions
This check box allows you to copy the extended description for each stock item to the destination company or location (MLI only). The extended descriptions originate on the
Ext. Description tab of the
IN Stock window. The default for this check box is checked.
Copy Alternate Vendors
This check box allows you to copy the alternate vendor information for each stock item. You enter the alternate vendor information by selecting the
Add/Modify Vendor button on the
Vendor tab of the
IN Stock window. The default for this check box is checked.
Copy Stock Aliases
This check box allows you to copy the
stock alias information for each stock item.
Copy Multi-Pack Codes
If you have Specialty Shop installed, select this check box to copy the
multi-pack codes for each stock item.
