IN Global Price Change window
The Global Price Change window allows you to make a global system update to price and last cost information for a range of stock numbers, locations, inventory codes, product types, and primary vendors. Update the prices using either a dollar or percentage amount, or by specifying a markup/margin percentage. You must have at least one quantity on hand for any stock items you want to change the price of.
Update
Select the option in this section for the type of price change you want to make globally in the system.
Update Standard Stock Items
Select this radio button to change the pricing for a single stock item or range of items.
Update Multi-Pack Pricing
This option is only available if you have Specialty Shop installed. Select this radio button to change the pricing of your multi-pack stock items.
Start and End Ranges: Stock Number, Location, IN Code, Product Type, Vendor Number, and Multi-Pack Code (Specialty Shop only)
Use these boxes to define the range of items to include in the global price change. You can include a single item by entering the same value in both boxes. The default for the Start and End boxes are Start and End. These settings will include all items that meet the remaining criteria in the window.
If you have Specialty Shop installed and select the Update Multi-Pack Pricing radio button, the Multi-Pack Code fields are enabled in which you can select a single code or range of codes to update.
Global Price Change Grid
In these columns, enter the global changes for the selected stock items. When you change the prices of standard stock items, you can see the change on the Qty/Price Info tab of the IN Stock window. When you enter changes for multi-pack pricing, you can view them by selecting the Advanced Sales Info button on the Sales Info tab of the IN Stock window.
Price
The Price column indicates the price type you will update. If you are updating the pricing for standard stock items, the price types shown are the last cost and Prices 1 through 5.
If you have Specialty Shop installed and chose to update your multi-pack pricing, the grid has only one price entry line.
Adjustment Type
The Adjustment Type field only updates stock items that use list or level list pricing methods. Stock Items with any of the other pricing methods will not be affected by this field.
Choose if you want to adjust the price by a percentage or dollar amount. You can then enter the percentage or exact dollar amount in the Amount field.
Amount
The Amount field only updates stock items that use list or level list pricing methods. Stock items with any of the other pricing methods are not affected by this field.
If you selected the Dollar option as the Adjustment Type, enter the specific dollar amount. If you selected the Percent option, enter the percent. To increase the cost or price, enter a positive number. To decrease, enter a negative number. The Price 1, Price 2, Price 3, Price 4, and Price 5 lines only affect stock items with list or level list pricing types.
Markup and Margin
These fields are disabled for multi-pack pricing updates. Use the Markup and Margin fields to update stock items with markup, margin, level markup, or level margin pricing methods. Stock items with any other pricing types are not affected by these two fields.
To set a specific markup or margin percentage, enter the percentage for the price calculation in the respective column. A markup percentage specifies the percentage that prices are marked up from cost. A margin percentage specifies the percentage of profit margin that is built into the calculated price. For more information on this type of pricing, see Setting Up Markup/Margin Codes.
