Overtime Codes
If you import daily units from time-tracking software, you need to set up Overtime Codes if your hourly employees receive overtime pay. These codes will define when overtime is calculated. You must set up an Other Unit 1 pay rate for overtime pay and an Other Unit 2 pay rate for double time pay for overtime to calculate.
To create Overtime Codes:
1 In Payroll, select Options > Overtime Codes from the left navigation pane. The Overtime Codes window will open.

2 Enter a unique name for this Code and a description.
3 Select the check boxes for daily and/or weekly overtime you want to use for this Code and enter the number of hours worked before overtime starts.
4 Click the Save button.
You can add a default Overtime Code for your organization in Module Preferences. You can also add an Overtime Code on each employee record on the Pay Rates/Taxes tab in Employee Maintenance. If you don’t define a Code in either place, overtime will not calculate when you import daily units.
