PO Receive Items window: Receiving Information
What you see in this section of the window depends on the setup in the PO Module Preferences and PO Set Up Purchasing/Receiving Layout windows. Use the SHIFT+F5 key combination to quickly move to this section without using the mouse.
PO Date 
This field is read-only. When you select a transaction, this field autofills with the original order date.
Receive/GL Date 
This field is read-only. When you select a transaction, this field autofills with the local transaction date. The only exception to this is if you recalled this receiving transaction and had previously changed the date; then, this field reflects the changed date.
Vendor Number 
This field is read-only. When you select a transaction, this field autofills with the vendor on the order.
Vendor Name 
This field is read-only and displays the vendor’s name.
Transaction Description 
Enter a meaningful description for this transaction up to 50 alphanumeric characters.
Buyer 
This field is read-only. When you select a transaction, this field autofills with the Buyer Code that was saved on the purchase order in the PO Enter Purchase Orders window.
Buyer Name 
This field is read-only and displays the buyer’s name that was saved on the purchase order in the PO Enter Purchase Orders window.
Department 
This field is read-only. When you select a transaction, this field autofills with the Department Code that was saved on the purchase order in the PO Enter Purchase Orders window.
Received By 
This field is read-only. When you select a transaction, this field autofills with the name of the buyer currently logged into the receiving window.
Complete 
This check box is only enabled after you open a transaction with a quantity remaining to receive/invoice. If this is a receive-only transaction, this check box is only enabled if you receive the quantity for all items.
If you check this check box and then modify the information in the detail grid, the system automatically unchecks it to help ensure the correct number of items are received/invoiced. When checked, the entire transaction is marked as complete and after you post, the transaction is no longer retrievable.
User-Defined Fields and Descriptions 
These fields and their descriptions only appear when pre-defined in Module Preferences and according to the receiving layout. Enter the appropriate information in these fields.
Remarks 
Use this field to enter information specific to the line item. The information you enter in this field will print in the header area of the purchase order.
