Sales Discount Line Item window
Use this window to define a discount for a specific detail line of the sales transaction. Once you complete this window and select the OK button, you will return to the Sales Order Entry or Sales POS Register window and the selected item price will be adjusted by the discount amount.
Item  
This is the detail line to which the discount is being applied. The item that was selected when this option was chosen appears here automatically.
To select a different line item to discount, select Cancel to close this window, select the line in the transaction that you want to discount, and then select the Discount Line Item button from the Options slide-out menu or select Transaction > Apply Discount > Current Line Item from the menu bar.
Description  
This is the description that is associated with the selected item. This field auto-fills and cannot be changed in this window.
Item Price 
This is the price of the item. This field auto-fills and cannot be changed in this window.
Percent 
Select this option button if the discount should be calculated as a percentage of the extended amount for the specified line item. You will then need to specify the percentage by which to discount the line.
Fixed Amount 
Select this radio button if the discount should be applied as a specific dollar amount. You will then need to specify the dollar amount by which to discount the line item.
Value 
If you selected the Percentage radio button, enter the percentage by which to discount the line item. Enter the percentage as a number, with decimals if necessary. For example, if you want to discount the line item by 10%, type 10.
If you selected the Fixed Amount radio button, enter the dollar amount by which to discount the line item. Enter the amount as a number, with decimals if necessary. For example, if you want to discount the line item by $10, type 10.
Discount Amount 
This is the discount that will be applied based on the amount you entered. It is calculated by the system and cannot be changed in this field.
Selling Price 
This is the price the item will sell at after the discount is applied.
