Sales POS Quick Access Bar: Notes
Select Notes on the Quick Access Bar to view or add notes on this customer, the current transaction, or the currently-selected Inventory item, as described in more detail below.
Customer Notes
Use this option to view and/or enter notes for the current customer. This option is only available if Sales is integrated to Accounts Receivable, and there is a customer selected for the transaction. If there are currently notes on the selected customer, an asterisk (*) will appear at the end of the Customer Notes label.
Transaction Notes
Select this option to view and/or enter notes for the current transaction. If there are currently notes on the selected transaction, an asterisk (*) will appear at the end of the Transaction Notes label.
Inventory Notes
Select this option to view and/or enter notes for the currently-selected item. If there are notes on the selected item, an asterisk (*) will appear at the end of the Inventory Notes label.
Time Stamp
Select this button to automatically place the current date and time in the notes.
Text Search/Find Next
Select the Text Search button to open a window in which you can type the text for which you are searching. Then click OK to start the search. Once an instance of the text has been found, use the Find Next button to find the next instance of the text. You can also highlight text in the notes and then select the Text Search or Find Next button, and the system will automatically search for the next instance of the highlighted text.
