Completing a Work Order
When a customer is ready to complete a work order, recall the transaction, change the transaction type to Invoice, and then tender the sale.
To change a work order into an invoice:
1 In the Sales Order Entry window, select Transaction > Retrieve Transaction > Work Order.
2 In the Lookup that opens, select the work order you want to complete. You can choose a posted or unposted transaction.
3 In the Transaction Type field at the top of the window, change the type to Invoice.

4 Make any necessary changes to the invoice.
The previous deposit appears at the bottom of the Sales Order Entry window underneath any freight charges, and the balance automatically updates to show the balance remaining on the work order.
5 Click Tender to complete the work order. For more information on how to tender a sale, see Tendering a Sale.
