Setting Up Your Departments (Sales Department Codes)
Sales Department Codes provide a means of tracking sales by department. Department Codes also enable you to direct the posting of sales to different General Ledger income accounts. You need at least one Sales Department Code for each sales income account you have in your General Ledger Chart of Accounts.
