Setting Up the General Order Entry Options
The
General tab of the
Sales Order Entry Preferences window is used to define basic settings for Order Entry activity, such as allowable transaction types, how sales tax should be applied, if you want to create purchase orders from sales entry, and if you use authorization software for credit/debit cards.
You can also use this tab to expedite order entry. You can allow your salesperson to automatically log into the entry window, as well as save transactions without opening the Transaction Closeout window. This is helpful if you have a lot of AR Charge transactions.
This window also indicates the last posting number and last batch number. For more information on batches, refer to
