CMS Organization Information window: System Settings tab
Select the System Settings tab to set system-wide options for your organization.
Database Information
Use the Database Information boxes to specify the name and location of the server and the organization database. The default information located in these boxes is based on the information entered during the installation process.
Server Type
This field defaults to the computer system designated as the server during the installation process.
Server Location
Type the name of the server where the database is located. This box will default to the location designated during installation.
Name of Database
Type the name of the database for the selected organization. This corresponds to the Organization name on the Organization Detail tab. This box defaults to the information entered when you created the organization.
System Date Prompt
Select one of the system date prompt options. If you select No Prompt - Use Computer Date or Prompt - Use Computer Date, every machine on the network must have the same date selected or some transactions might be processed improperly.
NOTE: Do not confuse the Denali date with the computer date. The computer date is stored by an electronic clock that is part of the circuitry inside your computer. The computer date and time are set by operating system commands. The Denali date is obtained from a setting in the organization database. In both cases the date is set when a module is opened.
No Prompt - Use Global Denali Date
The global Denali date is based on the system date set in your computer’s operating system. You can change this date in the CMS Change Global Denali Date window. This will remain the date for all modules, even after you close Denali and reopen it, until you change it again in the Global Change Date window. If you select this option, the system will automatically default to the global date.
Prompt - Use Global Denali Date
This option is the same as the No Prompt - Use Global Denali Date option, except that the program prompts you to accept the date as it’s set or to enter a new date.
No Prompt - Use Computer Date
The computer date is the actual calendar date stored in your server’s/computer’s memory. If you choose this option, the system will automatically default to the computer date each time you open Denali.
Prompt - Use Computer Date
This option is the same as the No Prompt - Use Computer Date option, except that the program prompts you to accept the default or to enter a new date. The date shown as the default is the computer date.
Misc.
Use this section to specify other miscellaneous system-wide information.
Use Interface Table
Select this check box if you want to use Interface Codes to control posting to the General Ledger. Interface Codes are an advanced feature and are not required to integrate the Denali modules. If you want to use Interface Codes to post information to General Ledger, the modules must be integrated to General Ledger.
Auto-Fill Enabled
Select this check box if you want to use the auto-fill feature when you work in the selected organization. This could make data entry faster because the information will automatically populate when you start typing. This check box defaults to being checked when you create a new organization. To turn auto-fill off, deselect this check box.
