Customizing Entry Windows
With Denali, you can customize your purchasing and receiving windows in Purchase Order along with your order entry and point of sale windows in Sales. This form of customization can be used to add security and decrease entry time. For example, you can modify the field titles in the header and detail sections of the windows to match pre-printed forms.
You can also set only fields pertinent to your business needs and practices to show in the entry windows. The ability to hide unnecessary fields can help decrease the entry time for your clerks/buyers. You might also want to hide or disable fields in the entry windows so certain employees cannot see or edit them.
Not only can you customize the fields and specify which fields appear and/or can be edited, you can also
create user-defined fields for gathering specific information when you enter transactions. There are
default settings that you can define in the Module Preferences for Purchase Order and Sales that apply to the entry windows as well. These default settings can help decrease entry time or help maintain consistency in your data.
