Whenever you post a transaction, a date is associated with it that cannot be changed. For this reason, it is important to be aware of the Denali date before you post transactions. The current date appears in the bar at the bottom of the Denali window.

If you need to change the default Denali date to enter transactions in a module, select the Change Local Transaction Date option in the module. This option is usually found on the Transaction menu. Once you change this date, it will become the default date. All transactions will use this date to post until you change it or close the module. When you close the module and reopen it, the date will default back to the Denali date. See The Software Default Date for more information on working with dates in Denali.
