Sales Set Up Inventory Item Buttons window
If you selected to use inventory item buttons in the Sales Set Up Sales Entry Layout window, use this window to set up your stock item buttons. This feature is designed to use with a touch screen, but you can also mouse-click the buttons.
Button Group 
When you open this window, the default group will be MAIN, which is your top-level item group. The name of this group cannot be changed.
To create a new button group, select the New button and enter a button group name of up to 20 alphanumeric characters.
To edit an existing group, select the Find or < and > buttons and select Edit.
Description 
You cannot edit the description for the MAIN group. If you are creating or editing a group, enter a description up to 50 characters.
Default Button Color 
Use this drop-down to select the color you want the buttons to appear in the Register window for this item group. If you select Other from the drop-down, you can define any color you want using the Standard or Custom tabs in the Colors window.
Sub Group 
If you want to add a subgroup to this item group, type the group name or use the Lookup to select the group to add. If you type a subgroup name that doesn’t exist, a dialogue box asks you if you want to create it and you can define the items in that group at another time.
After you select a subgroup, click the Add button to add the subgroup to this item group.
A group that contains no items appears in red text in the Buttons list box.
In the Register window, the subgroup will appear as an item button that you can tap to access the items in the subgroup. You can add as many subgroups as you want to each item group. If you add the MAIN subgroup, a Back to Main button will appear in this item group and you can tap it to return to the top level of items.
Stock Item 
Type in a stock item or use the Lookup to add stock items to this group. After you select the stock item, click the Add button to add it to this item group. You can add as many stock items as you want.
Non-Inventory 
Type in a non-inventory item or use the Lookup to add non-inventory items to this group. After you select the non-inventory item, click the Add button to add the item to this item group. You can add as many non-inventory items as you want.
Buttons list box
This box displays the items that are in this button group.
Sub 
If you add a subgroup to this item group, Yes will appear in this column next to the group. If you right-click on a subgroup, the items of the group are displayed (except for MAIN).
Item/Group 
This column displays the name of the stock item or subgroup that you added to this group. If you double-click an item in this column, the Sales Item Button Properties window appears where you can change this item’s button color or text that appears on the button. If you right-click on a subgroup, the items of the group are displayed.
Button Text 
This column displays the text that appears on the item or group button. If you double-click an item in this column, the Sales Item Button Properties window appears where you can change this item’s button color or change the text that appears on the button. If you right-click on a subgroup, the items of the group are displayed.
Clear 
Select this button to clear the Buttons list box.
Delete 
Select this button to delete the highlighted item from the Buttons list box.
Up / Down 
Use the Up and Down buttons to change the order of the buttons in this group.
