Converting a Previously Converted Organization
With the exception of Payroll, you cannot reconvert your CMS Professional data into the same Denali organization.
If you are reconverting your organization data into a new Denali organization, there are a few settings that you must address. For these settings, you can either accept the default changes or modify the settings manually in the CMS Professional to Denali Conversion window. The information we present in this topic explains the changes you must consider.
• Modules to Convert check boxes: With the exception of Payroll, you cannot reconvert a module into an existing Denali organization or only convert a module you haven’t previously converted. We recommend you reconvert all CMS Professional modules into a new Denali organization database.
If you’re converting payroll data into an existing company, you need to use the Convert Payroll To Denali option. To access this option in Controller, select Organization > Convert Payroll To Denali from the menu bar.
• New Organization Code: By default, the code in this field includes a three-digit numeric value appended to the end of it. In this case, you can keep the default setting, but we recommend you change this code to a new, meaningful one for your organization.
• Database Name: By default, this field includes the organization code with a three-digit numeric value appended to the end of it. You can keep the default setting, but we recommend you change this code to a new meaningful one for your organization that correlates with any change you made to your Organization Code.
