Benefits/Deductions tab: Garnishments
Use this tab to define garnishments for this employee.
Employee Information
Enter general garnishment information for the employee in this section of the window.
Maximum Garnishment % 
Enter the maximum garnishment percentage for this employee. The amount you enter here overrides the default set in Module Preferences.
In Arrears 
Select this check box if the employee is in arrears.
Maximum % When In Arrears 
This field is disabled unless you select the In arrears check box. Enter the maximum garnishment percentage when the employee is in arrears.
Exemption Multiple 
Enter an exemption multiple to use in the minimum wage exemption calculation.
Minimum Wage 
Enter a minimum wage amount to use in the minimum wage exemption calculation.
Garnishments
Use this grid to define garnishments for this employee. This grid is informational only and displays the information for each code you add to the employee through the PR Employee Garnishments window. You can select the Edit button and then right-click the first column on a row to delete it and double-click anywhere in a row to edit it.
Priority 
This column shows the priority number of the garnishment. Priority is determined by the order you enter the garnishments, but you can drag and drop the rows into the order you want.
Code 
This column displays the Garnishment Code you attached to this employee.
Description 
This column displays the description for the Garnishment Code you attached to this employee.
Amount 
This column displays the garnishment amount per period for the Garnishment Code attached to this employee.
Percentage 
This column displays the garnishment percentage per period for the Garnishment Code attached to this employee.
Remaining 
This column displays the remaining amount of the employee’s garnishment.
Month to Date 
This column shows the month-to-date garnishment total.
Quarter to Date 
This column shows the quarter-to-date garnishment total.
Year to Date 
This column shows the year-to-date garnishment total.
